* Visa requires authorisation from the Ministry of External Relations in Brazil - takes approx 60 days
* Applicant must prove that required funds can be legally transferred to Brazil, whether the pension be private (additional paperwork and costs) or public
* Applicant must prove that the payments are permanent and that a bank has authority for such transfers
* Applicant will need to supply proof that he/she has been resident in the UK (eg) for the previous 12 months
* Applicant will need to supply a Certificate of Prosecution/Conviction History (Section 21, Data Protection Act 1998, Subject Access, Person Record) for him/herself and any dependents over 18. This document is available from the UK (eg) Police, but may take at least 6 weeks to be processed
* Visas are endorsed in passports by the Brazilian consulate of your choice, then you must arrive in Brazil within a 90 day period, and present yourself to the Policia Federal within 30 days.
